Adrian Caine

Tue Jun 24, 2008, 1:03 PM
Adrian Caine is, by any other term, a rather normal guy. He stands at six foot one, weighs a little over one hundred-thirty pounds, and has absolutely normal features that do absolutely nothing to distinguish him as anything out of the ordinary. This is largely because he -is- nothing out of the ordinary. Mostly.

As stated, all his features are completely normal. Long hair, petite features, and a triangular face. Perhaps unlike what might most would expect, his hair is a dark, dark, dark blue. Under the right light, one can see the traces of cerulean, though otherwise it appears to be jet black.
His blue hair is very thick, curly, and wavy. It flows down to his shoulders in back, while it almost completely covers his face in front. To fix this problem, Adrian has brushed his hair over partially in front of one eye. It's close to the emo fashion, but not quite. Black eyeliner dares rim his steel-gray eyes, though in a very thin quantity. They can never stay in one place for long. His lips are lush and pink. They are almost always pursed in either nerves or thought, more often the former. Around his neck is a red ascot, though call him 'Fred' and he'll gladly kick your ass. Thick Bose headphones are either on his ears or around his thin neck, the cord leading down to a pocket.
Adrian wears a black shirt portraying the logo of one of his favorite bands (The list is too long to really go over.) with a dark yellow jacket above it. The jacket has various swirling patterns over it done in black, along with chinese lettering over the left breast. It clings rather tightly to his form, though there is no muscle bulk to show off. Lower, somewhat tight-fitting black jeans show off a pair of bulges, one moderate and from his loins, the other from his music player of choice.

Over an almost pert rear, the bulge of his wallet will show.
Adrian usually wears a pair of thick, black leather combat boots, though he may go barefoot every once in a while. His disposition is very relaxed, to the casual eye, though any skill at reading behavior will reveal a nervous, timid man. It's in his liquid movements, his shifting eyes, how thin he always draws his lips. He buries himself in music, art, and poetry. To see him lacking his music player, a book, or a sketchpad means that something is very, very wrong.

Voice lilty, feminine-swish to his hips, and the occasional limp wristed gesture, maybe he a bit flamey, but his personality kills the thought. Headstrong. Defiant. Intelligent. Sarcastic? Condescending? He's a lot of things. He's whatever he feels like when it comes to sex. So, he's a smuke, who prefers the bottom.

His biggest weakness is sweet things and stuffed animals. He has a love for cute things.

There is really only two true truths known to all mankind. First, is all that are born to this earth will die as death waits for no one. Second, regardless of exactly what you believe in (or if you believe in nothing), you acknowledge that what appears before you eyes, your surroundings, your fellow man was not self created. These two truths should be self evident to all of man, but we seem to forget them.

Whatever it is that binds us, it binds me, you, the plants, the animals together… call it what you will. Life has a balance to it, and humanity is only a small portion to it. The actions that we take effects everyone in this balance. Everyone are brothers and sisters; many say that we are one family under God or under Jesus Christ. In the interest of non denomination, whatever you perspective is on how or who placed us here, I would like to believe in a world of non-materialism.

But what is it that makes us so driven towards that end. To place a piece of paper that the government deems as legal tender beyond that of our fellow man? It is the responsibility of the wealthy to contribute to humanity in need. Yet, if the wealthy contributed 100% of their wealth to charitable causes, they would not be wealthy but poor. The fact of the matter is the wealthy become wealthy by being frugal and not giving a true sacrificial portion of their wealth towards the needy. In such donations are you strained in what you donate or do you do so with little recourse and ease? Why is it amongst this segment of society that we place caps on such a donation, where 10% is considered sacrificing or a million dollars. When you have ran small companies out of business to obtain that wealth, has your taste for capitalism blinded your duty to your fellow man? Or do you plan to be buried in gold laced coffin with what you cannot take with you?

But wealth is not simplified to be privileged to a simple collection of currency or even gold. Materialism refers to that which you collect but are unwilling to share. Such a loose term could mean anything, but what I refer to mainly is knowledge. I did not decide to pursue being a professor for wealth, in fact; I do not like materialism. I prefer to challenge and change the world in my own way, but not with purse strings. But how many of you have a particular knowledge or skill that you could teach another? How many of you would not take the time to teach a child something new, because it would cost you time and time is money? But be assured for the time that you spent teaching another it is worth the loss of some currency as you cannot measure the reward. How many of you turn your nose when you see someone on the street begging for scraps or a handout? To hear of a crisis across the world or a plague only to shut your eyes because it is the easy thing to do, as it does not cost you anything to shut your eyes and it will all go away. Be a mentor, be a friend, be someone to someone. But don't go to your grave with the only thing that you have done is filled your pockets with paper.

Money will not bring you success. Is success measured by the Wall Street Broker who brings in $2,000,000 a year, who does not spend time with his wife or his family. Is success the wealthy trophy wife who parks her children in front of the TV to prepare her makeup so she could be shown around the town? Or is success measured by some other non monetary factor. Is the Wall Street Broker more successful than the family that immigrated here across the border, who has loving parents sacrificed themselves to work low income jobs at a Wal-Mart or a Target…who even picked at a trashcan to get scrap cans for 10 cents, just to get one millimeter closer to putting their children through school or food on the table. Is that success?

What is it that leads man stray, to make one short-change individuals to harm so they themselves can get one inch closer. To cheat, to steal, to take from the public. What drives man to horde in greed that which has no real value? Lets say you had a choice, you could have one million dollars or spend that money for an operation to save a six year old little girl from death. Would you keep the money? Could you look at yourself if you did? Or have you earned more then a million dollars when you spend that money to save the child?

It is unrealistic to expect anyone to be perfect. We have all been selfish; I have been selfish before myself and greedy. But it does not make it right. However, it is the extreme cases of greed that I cannot understand. Take for example, Paris Hilton. She has never worked for anything in her life and she has never sacrificed for anything, only living or creating her own form of eternal hell. And it is hallow, she walks, breathes and certainly Paris Hilton is having sex with someone, but it does not mean she is alive. She is not alive. There is so much that people like her could be doing to better society and better mankind, even without donating money (though she does have enough). She could become a public speaker for cancer awareness or some other issue-biased initiative. Yet, she lives in a bottle, frittering her life away one party after another, perhaps an orgy here and there. Stacking chain after chain for her Judgment Day.

Is there not to be a code beyond all codes, beyond that of law, which is so easily broken? For the man that beats his wife, for the cop that abuses his strength and does not protect, to the politicians that treat our resources irresponsibly, do you believe in that which you cannot see? Perhaps a scorecard or a book of deeds?

Unfortunately, we live in a changing world. None of us has the answers, I do not have the answers, you do not have the answers, and the church does not have all the answers; however, for many it would be a place to start in limiting much of society's slump. But as the Catholic Church has shown with its own sex scandals, if you believe that the clergy is beyond improprieties, then you are mistaken… for a religious man can beat his wife as well or abuse his authority. Religion by itself does not make a good person. And for those that believe in the demonic, demons like to take hold of the holy... as to conquer or otherwise break someone from a quest is considered a valuable prize.

Lets take a look at today's society governed with the two working parents and the children often raised by TV. The small communities broken by the bustling city and who is blamed? The Media and the TV? But there is nothing in the newspaper, on TV, or in a naughty magazine that is not able to be found 100 times worse on the internet highways of today and tomorrow. Is it children's tendency to pick up a book to expand their knowledge or is it their tendency to get on myspace?

In this modern world, the vast majority has become so busy with maintaining or attempting to maintain the status quo, that is has resulted in inefficiency within society with judgments by incomplete information. How often is it that you are able to pick up the newspaper or turn on world news? Or do you find yourself still going backwards after putting in overtime?

This is just a series of thoughts to get you thinking that is all this is meant to do. I will expand on this later.
